Aryasanga

About The Author

Asanga (c. 4th century CE) was a pivotal Indian philosopher and monk who co-founded the Yogacara ("Mind-Only") school of Mahayana Buddhism with his half-brother, Vasubandhu. Born in Purusapura (modern-day Pakistan), he authored foundational treatises like the Yogacarabhumi-sastra and is traditionally believed to have received teachings directly from the Bodhisattva Maitreya.
