January 13, 2013… Hard to believe that was the day that I published KALEB, the first book in the Alluring Indulgence series and here we are almost two and a half years later, and the series is officially coming to an end with the final Walker brother book, BRENDON, releasing on Monday, May 11th.
Where in the world did the time go?
KALEB was a turning point in my writing career, bringing upon me changes that I hadn’t anticipated. It wasn’t long after KALEB’s release that I started to receive notes about the other brothers, and I knew at that point I had jumped on a roller coaster ride that was just beginning. Four months after KALEB, I hit publish on ZANE, and then a couple of months after that came TRAVIS, who gave me fits for about two weeks in which I rewrote the entire book because he and I couldn’t seem to come to an agreement. And then, the holidays came around and due to so much love for the Walker brothers, I wrote HOLIDAYS WITH THE WALKER BROTHERS as a way to give back to the amazing readers. That book was originally supposed to be a novella, and the brothers once again surprised me.
Since then, I’ve spent a vast amount of time with ETHAN, who broke my heart and mended it back over the three months it took me to write his story. Of course, then I got to work with BRAYDON and SAWYER, both of which had practically laid the groundwork for their own books throughout that first year. And in recent months, I tied it all up with BRENDON.
That’s seven. Seven incredible men who not only captured my heart, but the hearts of so many people. The love that I get for the Walker brothers is overwhelming and wonderful, and it’s so hard to see it coming to an end.
I’ve had many questions regarding the other characters that we’ve met along the way, including Curtis and Lorrie, Jared, Greyson, CJ, Jaxson, and Mack, just to name a few. I’m happy to say that they will receive their due, however, their stories will not be within the Alluring Indulgence series. The AI series was about the brothers, about their journey with the new resort they built and how the changes came about in their lives. But don’t worry, Coyote Ridge still has a lot of stories to be told, and the Walker brothers aren’t going to be far.
So, I’d like to say thank you… To the Walker brothers for changing my life in many ways, for bringing me smiles and tears, but most of all, for bringing me the wonderful readers who continue to brighten my day with emails and messages. It’s been a whirlwind ride, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
