About The Author

Raymond Wilson is professor emeritus and former chair of the History Department at Fort Hays State University. He received his Ph.D. in 1977 from the University of New Mexico, with a specialization in Native American history. Most of his numerous publications, including several books, chapters in books, articles, and book reviews focus on Native Americans. Wilson has been researching and writing about Charles Eastman (Ohiyesa) for over 50 years. His LEST WE FORGET series in Indian Country Today provides information on Native American women and men who need to be remembered today for their achievements.
