Michael Oren Fitzgerald

Michael Oren Fitzgerald is an author, editor and documentary film maker on world religions, sacred art, tradition, and philosophy. He has produced ten documentary films and over twenty books that have received more than forty-five awards. Fitzgerald is an acknowledged authority on the religion and culture of the Plains Indians and is also the adopted son of the late Thomas Yellowtail, one of the most respected Native spiritual leaders of the twentieth century. He holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Indiana University. All royalties for Fitzgerald’s books and documentary films on American Indians are donated to various American Indian charities, including the support of traditional ceremonies.
