James Preller is the author of a wide range of children’s books, including the Jigsaw Jones and Scary Tales series. He enjoys writing for very young readers (A Pirate’s Guide to First Grade) as well as books for middle graders, such as Shaken, Bystander, The Courage Test, and Blood Mountain. Five of his books have been Junior Library Guild Selections. James lives in the Capital District of New York and enjoys visiting schools far and wide as a guest author.
