Amy Zavatto is a New York-based writer who was bound to end up writing about booze, as her grandfather was a home wine-making Italian immigrant and her dad a Scotch-loving butcher. Her favorite cocktail is the Manhattan and all its variations. Amy writes about cocktails, spirits, wine, and food for Imbibe, Whisky Advocate, Shape, Serious Eats, Brides, Wine Enthusiast, Hamptons, Edible Manhattan, and other publications. She earned her Level III certification in wine and spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and she is the author of Forager's Cocktails: Botanical Mixology with Fresh, Natural Ingredients (Sterling/HarperCollins), The Architecture of the Cocktail (Race Point/HarperCollins), The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Bartending (Alpha), A Hedonist’s Guide to Eat New York (HG2), and co-author of The Renaissance Guide to Wine & Food Pairing (Alpha). 
 

Illustrator Ruby Taylor loves working with patterns and fun, modern color palettes, as well as typography and lettering—and anything that smacks of vintage signage. She works across a mix of print, fashion, stationary design, murals, and screenprints. Taylor is the illustrator of many stunning cocktail books, including Prosecco Made Me Do It, Gin Made Me Do It, Tequila Made Me Do It, Rosé Made Me Do It, and Whiskey Made Me Do It.
