Gill Lewis lives with her husband, three young children, and a motley crew of various pets in Somerset. A childhood fascination with anything that crawled, swam, or flew led to a career as a vet. Gill began to write and illustrate stories for her own children, inspired by traditional folk-tales and ancient mythologies.

Louise Ho graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2003 with a BA Hons. in Illustration. Her hobbies include drawing, collecting fossils, trying to avoid the temptation to overfeed her pet fish, and learning to read in Chinese and Japanese. She has a large number of cousins and several large puppy-like koi fish in a pond that have a tendency to mow down the resident goldfish when food is involved. She lives with her parents in NW England, somewhere in the axis of St. Helens, Warrington, Manchester ,and Liverpool.
