William Phelps is a successful serial entrepreneur with a career that started with cofounding Wetzel’s Pretzels in 1994. Phelps led the company to become a recognizable brand in the snack food industry. Although he is no longer the CEO of Wetzel’s Pretzels, Phelps is currently the CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken, which he took over in 2021 with a focus on expanding the brand’s reach through franchising. Dave’s Hot Chicken is a rapidly expanding fast-food chain known for its Nashville-style hot chicken with over 100 locations across the United States, Dubai, and Canada. Phelps’ extensive experience in the food industry and entrepreneurship has made him an excellent fit to lead the growth and development of Dave’s Hot Chicken.
