Walter Chaw

Walter Chaw is senior film critic for FilmFreakCentral.net. He has bylines in The New York Times, The Washington Post, LA Weekly and others, is a guest contributor for NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour, and contributed to a documentary for David Fincher's Netflix series Voir. He has written a monograph on the film Miracle Mile, and a career-spanning book on the work of Walter Hill called A Walter Hill Film: Tragedy and Masculinity in the FIlms of Walter Hill. He has been called a "toxic avenger" a time or two and has always taken it as the greatest compliment.
