About The Author

The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was formed in June of 1942 by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to coordinate espionage activities for all branches of the Armed Forces during World War II. It was dissolved in September of 1945 but its institutional and spiritual legacy lives on in the independent Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
