Tyler Grey
About The Author
Tyler Grey is a leading advocate for veterans’ mental health, specializing in PTSD and traumatic brain injury (TBI). He developed the LTSD theory which explains chaos addiction and the neurological rewiring that occurs over time, helping veterans better understand their struggles. A former Tier 1 operator, Tyler’s military career ended abruptly when he was seriously wounded during a nighttime raid in Sadr City, Iraq, leading to a grueling four-year recovery.
After being medically retired, he struggled with the loss of identity and purpose before rebuilding himself through storytelling. His acclaimed documentary, That Which I Love Destroys Me, won a 2015 Voice Arts Award and became a key resource for military mental health professionals. Now an author, speaker, and filmmaker, Tyler works to bridge the gap between military and civilian experiences, challenging outdated mental health paradigms and empowering others to transform trauma into growth.
