Tessa Mellinger grew up in a tiny town nestled in the lush forests of Vermont, where she developed a love for reading, drawing, and all creatures—big and small. Driven by a passion for visual storytelling, Tessa strives to create imaginative tales that capture the hearts and minds of young readers through her colorful, lively illustrations.  

Inspired by the brave magical girls and daring heroes of her childhood, Tessa now uses her art to spread kindness, help kids feel strong, and remind everyone that it's okay to be scared sometimes. With the hope that her books will bring joy and inspiration to children and parents everywhere, Tessa is excited to share her stories with the world—and to create characters who encourage us all to be our best selves.
