Tenisha Bernal

Tenisha Bernal is a published children’s book author/illustrator whose goal is to expand the minds of children and their grownup(s). Tenisha has a First 100 Words board book series under her belt, including; Little Gardener’s First 100 Words, which was selected as an Amazon Editor’s Best Children’s Book of the Year So Far, in 2024. In 2025, her non-fiction manuscript You’re Not Alone: A Kid’s Guide to Understanding OCD was selected as a winner of the SCBWI SF North & East Bay's Equity and Inclusion Awards. Tenisha serves as a Co-Illustrator Coordinator and graphic designer for her local SCBWI region. Tenisha lives in Rohnert Park, California, with her husband and son (a.k.a. her “Street Team”), and their rescue dog Bandit.
