About The Author

Dr Semeen Ali is an editor, critic and a poet. She is the author of four collections of poetry. She has edited and co-edited several anthologies including Dilli (2014), 40 under 40 (2016), A Map Called Home (2018), and Of Dry Tongues and Brave Hearts (2022). She is currently the Poetry Editor at Muse India (formerly also its Fiction Editor), Editor (Cultural Opinions) and Co-editor (Book Reviews and Translations) at Parcham, and on the editorial team at Red River. She was Editorial Assistant at Indian Literature, the Sahitya Akademi journal, in 2023, and regularly reviews for The Book Review, Indian Literature, among others. Her works have appeared in several journals, and in anthologies published by Red River, Oxford University Press, Bibliotheque Editions (Greece), The Poetry Society of India, and others.
