About The Author

Roger K. Smith was raised in the town of Westminister, Massachusetts. After serving in the U.S. Navy, 1954-1957, he received a B. S. in Education (Fitchburg STate College, 1964) and a M.S. in Education (BRidgewater STate College, 1969). Mr. Smith taught Industrial Arts in the Massachusetts school system for twelve years. He now devotes full time to research of early American industries, writing and publishing.
