Richard Buxton (Foreword) is Emeritus Professor of Greek Language and Literature in the University of Bristol. His scholarly interests centre on ancient Greek literature and myth. Among his many books are Imaginary Greece, The Complete World of Greek Mythology, Forms of Astonishment and Myths and Tragedies in their Ancient Greek Contexts. He is fascinated by mythology, and takes every opportunity to convince others of the vital importance of stories and story-telling.
