Nancy J. Hajeski

Nancy Hajeski was lured into the great outdoors soon after taking her first steps, and still enjoys following trails through national parks and wilderness areas. Parks she has hiked include Acadia, Great Smoky Mountains, Shenandoah, and several segments of the Appalachian Trail in the Mid-Atlantic region. As an avid birdwatcher, she is often found in backcountry areas well off the beaten path.

Her nonfiction work includes National Geographic titles on gardening, nature, and health, and she has also written books on America’s national parks, life-size birds, yoga, Native American mythology, and outdoor survival. She lives opposite a world-class trout stream in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
