She is the author of four influential books including The Gray Rhino, which has moved financial markets, shaped government policy and business strategies around the world, and inspired a popular TED talk applying its principles to personal issues. A former media and think tank executive, she is founder of the Chicago-based strategic advisory firm Gray Rhino & Company.
