Matt Eicheldinger

Matt Eicheldinger is one of the most well-known teachers on social media, where his captivating and relatable storytelling has garnered more than 100 million views. A middle school teacher, author, public speaker, and storyteller, Matt draws on hundreds of memories, many from his years in the classroom, to connect with audiences with humor, heart, and perspective.

His debut middle grade novel, Matt Sprouts and the Curse of the Ten Broken Toes, became an instant USA TODAY and New York Times bestseller in its first week of publication, launching the Matt Sprouts series. In the same year, his first adult book, Sticky Notes: Memorable Lessons from Ordinary Moments, also became an immediate USA TODAY bestseller. He has since written multiple middle grade novels, including two more in the Matt Sprouts series and the illustrated poetry collection Holes in My Underwear. 

Matt wasn’t always a writer. Growing up, he spent much of his childhood playing soccer, reading comics, and trying his best to stay out of trouble—moments that would one day inspire his debut novel. Today, he lives in Minnesota with his wife and two children, where they create new adventures whenever possible. When he’s not writing, you can often find him telling stories in the classroom or trail running along the Minnesota River Bottoms.
