About The Author

Martin Brauen (born 1948) is an anthropologist from Bern, Switzerland. From 2008 to 2012, he was the chief curator of the Rubin Museum for Himalayan Arts in New York. And since 1975, he has been the head of the Himalaya, Tibet, and the Far East department of the Ethographic Museum of the University of Zurich.
