Marilia Albanese

Marilia Albanese is one of Italy's foremost scholars of Indian civilization. A specialist in Sanskrit, Indology, and Indian culture, she teaches at the University of Milan and has devoted more than forty years to the study, research, and promotion of South Asian history, religions, and art. She is the author of numerous acclaimed books on India and Southeast Asia and has written several volumes for White Star on the great civilizations and artistic heritage of the Indian subcontinent.
