Lidia Schapira, MD, is a medical oncologist and Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, where she directs the Cancer Survivorship Program. Previously on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, she has spent her career exploring the human side of cancer care, with a particular focus on communication, survivorship, and the lived experience of illness.
