Laura Barrett
About The Author
Laura Barrett is an illustrator based in London, creating intricate, decorative silhouette illustrations and monochrome patterns from her home studio. She studied at University of the Arts London, graduating in 2007. With an emphasis on storytelling, her work is inspired by the darker side of folk and fairy tales, along with traditional Scherenschnitte (paper cutting). Laura has created illustrations for a variety of international clients including Ted Baker, The BBC, The Guardian and Time Inc. Her artwork can be seen in several publications including Taschen's The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm (2011) and Hans Christian Andersen (2013), edited by Noel Daniel.
