Her writing has appeared in Best American Short Stories, Tin House, StoryQuarterly, the Georgia Review, the Moscow Times, the Chicago Tribune, Cicada, and elsewhere. Shonk lives in her hometown of Evanston, Illinois, and works as a freelance writer and editor.
