He is the author of over twleve other books, including the #1 New York Times best seller Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock (with Sammy Hagar) and the classic best-selling account of the Haight in the sixties Summer of Love: The Inside Story of LSD, Free Love, and High Times in the Wild West. A close friend of Jim Marshall, Selvin has worked on virtually every book Marshall has produced since their 1992 collaboration, Monterey Pop. He lives in San Francisco.
