Geoffrey Dorfman

Geoffrey Dorfman is a writer on cultural history with a focus on modernism and modern art. He has written on painting for Artforum, and contributed an essay to Abstract Expressionism and Other Modern Works: The Murel Kallis Newman Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is also the editor of two previous books on Resnick. Dorfman serves as the vice president of the board of directors at the Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation. Since its opening in 2018, he has lectured on Resnick and written catalog essays for three exhibitions at the Foundation. Dorfman is also a practicing artist, who showed his paintings at Oscarsson-Hood Gallery in the 1980s. Since 2023, he has had two solo exhibitions at Moss Galleries in Portland, Maine.
