François Lapierre

François Lapierre was born in Quebec in 1970. After studying art and graphic design, he embarked on a career in acrylic painting that led to his participation in various solo and group exhibitions. In 1996, François began a career in animation. However, driven by a desire to tell stories, he dove headfirst into his childhood dream: comic books. He thus set about developing a style and a universe he had long imagined—a project that would eventually become Sagah-Nah, published by Soleil. François Lapierre is also well known for his coloring work on Magasin Général by Loisel and Tripp, as well as on Julius, published by Glénat. Most recently, he wrote and illustrated the first volume of the Chroniques sauvages series—titled Teshkan—published by Glénat Québec.
