Donna Huisjen

A former editor in the Bible Department of Zondervan Publishing House, Donna Huisjen has for several years enjoyed full-time writing and freelance editing, along with various volunteer activities. Her publications include My Tall Book of Psalms and My Tall Book of Proverbs (rhymed poetry for four- to eight-year-olds published by Zondervan in 1999); Every Single Day: Devotional Moments for the Solo Mom from Howard Publishing (Simon & Schuster), 2007; Strength to Strength: Devotional Steppingstones for the Godly Woman, Credo House, 2011; four seasonal volumes of Seasonings: Daily Devotions for Changing Times, Credo House, 2012; and 150: A Bible Lover Reflects on the Psalms, Credo House, 2013.
Huisjen's devotions, articles, puzzles, stories, and poems have also appeared in numerous periodicals. The single adoptive mother of three now grown daughters, she makes her home near Grand Rapids, Michigan, in a condo shared with her youngest daughter and granddaughter.
