David Bowles is a Mexican American author and translator from South Texas, where he works as an associate professor at the University of Texas Río Grande Valley. Among his award-winning books are They Call Me Güero / Me dicen Güero,My Two Border Towns / Mis dos pueblos fronterizos, Ancient Night / Noche antigua, and The Prince & the Coyote / El príncipe y la coyote. David currently serves as the vice president of the Texas Institute of Letters. - David Bowles es un autor y traductor mexicoamericano del sur de Texas, donde funge como catedrático asociado en la Universidad de Texas, Valle del Río Grande.
