Dr Carolyne Larrington is Emerita Professor of medieval European literature at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on Old Norse literature and mythology, and its survival and transformation in the contemporary world. She has translated the Old Norse Poetic Edda and is the author of The Norse Myths: A Guide to the Gods and Heroes.
