About The Author

Carla Kaufman Sloan is an Emmy-winning writer. After getting her start at Judge Judy, she quickly climbed the ranks to executive, producing national game shows for ABC and Warner Brothers in Los Angeles. She and her husband, Chris Sloan, launched 2C Creative in Miami, a media production company that works with major networks like HBO, A&E, and Discovery Channel.

Following the tragic loss of their seven-year-old son, Carla and Chris launched Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation, which aids children and families in need. Carla is also a practicing medium verified on VerySoul.com and has given hundreds of personal readings to those seeking connection with departed loved ones. She is a certified grief educator with renowned grief expert David Kessler, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’s cowriter for On Grief and Grieving and Life Lessons. Carla has appeared on numerous podcasts including The Telepathy Tapes. Carla and her husband Chris will be featured in the film Messages in the Silence a coproduction between Helping Parents Heal and Picture Perfect Production and Editorial. She lives in Miami with her husband, their teenage son Caleb, and their beloved Brussels Griffon dog, Charlie. Carla also co-hosts a Helping Parents Heal affiliate group for grieving parents.
