Bihani Sarkar lectures in Religious Studies: Hinduism and Buddhism at the University of Winchester and is a faculty member of Oxford University’s Oriental Institute. She teaches classical Sanskrit and Indian religions, literature and civilization. Her latest book is Classical Sanskrit Tragedy: The Concept of Pathos and Suffering in Medieval India.
