Alison Bastien

Alison Bastien has worked in the field of women’s medicine, plant medicine, and holistic medicine for thirty-eight years. She has held the titles of anthropologist, perinatal educator, and professional midwife, and she has offered midwifery courses and plant spirit medicine for thirty years. She is the cofounder of M.A.N.A. (Midwives Alliance of North America) for the Mexico region. In addition, Alison was a contributing author in The Fireside Book of Homeopathy Tales; has been a regular contributor of essays and articles on healing, herbs, and midwifery to health and midwifery anthologies and magazines like Midwifery Today since 1984; and has led TEDx talks.
