About the Book

HELL TOUPEE A workplace comedy that blends X-Files intrigue with the irreverence of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The son of one of the most respected journalists in history joins the misfits at the notorious tabloid famous for headlines like "Elvis-is-Alive!," "Bigfoot Sex Slave!," and "Florida Mafia Hires Vampire to Kill O.J.!" In this issue: a conspiracy so deep it may have cracked the ceiling of Hell!

About the Authors

Ken Kristensen is a writer and producer whose television credits include Marvel's The Punisher (Netflix), Happy! (SYFY), Shantaram (Apple TV+), The Continental: From the World of John Wick (Peacock), and Marvel Studios Echo (Disney+). In comics, he co-created the acclaimed Image Comics series Todd, the Ugliest Kid on Earth with M.K. Perker and wrote The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist, based on the Pulitzer Prize- winning novel by Michael Chabon, for Dark Horse. A graduate of Columbia University's film school and a winner of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, Ken is a direct descendant of Rebecca Nurse, who was hanged at the Salem witch trials—so the supernatural runs in the family.

tvli is a Chahta kid who was raised in bigfoot country, but not raised by bigfoots (or is it bigfeet?), though some people in his family do wear some pretty big shoes. Yet, no one wants to fill them (mostly because they smell). His humble beginnings were when he found a stack of Weekly World News magazines in a secret room at his auntie's house. The walls were adorned by yarn, pins, maps and clippings of the stories and headlines of Weekly World News. She spent her life seeking the truth behind the headlines—not counting the years she spent shacked up with Bat Boy. Everyone at Weekly World News has been carefully chosen to tell these real news stories. tvli was chosen to present the true Weekly World News stories that his auntie shared within.

Steven Paul Judd is a writer/director whose credits include Dark Winds on AMC and Echo on Hulu/Disney+. In addition to television, his short films and features have been shown at film festivals around the world. Producers he's worked with in developing his own projects include Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin, and Jordan Peele. He published a novel, The Last Pow Wow, which was optioned by Universal Television. Other published work includes two recent stories for Marvel Comics. Judd's other career is in the fine arts: his paintings and other pop art creations have been featured in galleries, arts festivals, and pow wows. He is a proud member of the Kiowa and Choctaw nations.
