About the Book
The daughter of a thief and the son of a detective join forces to unravel the mystery of a legendary treasure in this illustrated middle grade mystery perfect for fans of Chasing Vermeer and City Spies.
Three generations of thieves.
Two kids from opposite sides.
One museum hiding a treasure.
Only steal stolen items. That’s what Sidney Oliver has been taught by her dad, a modern-day Robin Hood of sorts. After all, who would report the theft? Certainly not the original thieves. But after her dad gets arrested by a famous detective and is murdered in jail under mysterious circumstances, Sidney pivots from planning heists to plotting revenge.
Along the way, she becomes unlikely allies with the detective’s son, Daniel Michaels, in their quest to unmask the culprit. With a century-old family legend, a lost treasure, and an eyebrow-raising mystery at the Field Museum in Chicago in the mix, can the daughter of a thief and the son of a detective solve the crime of the century?
