About the Book

The complete history of the TVR Chimaera, from concept to final production

Launched in 1992, the TVR Chimaera was born from the inspiration of Peter Wheeler and his small team of design engineers. It was shaped by a uniquely TVR approach to car design, and stands as one of the most charismatic sports cars of the modern era. Drawing on contemporary records, press reports and first-hand accounts from designers, factory engineers, owners and racers, this book tells the full story of the Chimaera and shows why it became TVR’s most popular model. Richly detailed, it captures not just how and why the Chimaera was built, but why it remains the definitive TVR of the 1990s.
