The collection features among its major artists Gordon Baldwin, Ewen Henderson, Gillian Lowndes, Bryan Illsley, and Sara Radstone, who all work intuitively and express the “felt” nature of their works, in doing so often transcending the limitations of their medium. The most recent additions include Nao Matsunaga and Kerry Jameson, who likewise invariably produce the unexpected. The works, skilfully staged by photographer Philip Sayer, are complemented with contributions by Anthony Shaw himself and David Whiting, who set this remarkable collection in its art historical context.
