About the Book

AI is already raising your child, whether you know it or not. Practical, science-backed strategies help you navigate this shift with confidence—so your child can stay deeply human and thrive alongside AI.

Artificial intelligence shapes how your child learns, how they see themselves, and who they become. However, the speed and stealth of AI deployment have outpaced our understanding of how it is shaping Gen Alpha: the two billion children worldwide who have never known a world without AI. Gen Alpha and AI expert Yi Zhang, EdD, fills that gap with a practical, compassionate framework for parenting. Drawing on developmental science, real-world observation, and hard-won insight, Zhang explains how AI enters our daily activities and how families can navigate it with confidence.

AI companions, feedback loops, and always-on tools have been reshaping children’s ability to think independently, act with discernment, regulate emotions, and manage real human relationships. With Zhang’s guidance, you will counter their influence as you:

• Set the essential guardrails your child needs to thrive alongside AI
• Trust that your informed, loving presence is still the most powerful force in your child's development
• Teach your child to pause, reflect, build inner resilience, and stay curious
• Evaluate AI tools and toys through a developmental and wellbeing lens
• Raise a child who knows when to rely on themself, when to lean on trusted adults, and when to use AI

Raising AI-Native Kids will leave you feeling hopeful, prepared, and assured as you do the most important work of this era: raising a generation that is both AI fluent and deeply human.
