"The quick little landscape quilts featured in this book don’t look quick but Joyce breaks down the process into simple, easy to understand steps. She does a great job of explaining each step such as finding inspiration, choosing fabric, adding embellishments and finishing techniques. Most of little landscapes in the book were designed and fused onto fast2fuse, a stiff interfacing, stitched and embellished and then matted and framed. I love how Joyce shows how to add overlays by using dryer lint, tulle, organza and Angelina fibers. If you can’t come up with your own design there are several step-by-step projects to get you started. These little landscapes would make wonderful gifts. I can also see making a series of them to capture a favorite vacation spot. A great book for beginners as well as more experienced landscape quilters."
