About The Book

At the same moment he catches his teacher giving illegal drugs to a student, Redmond Fairweather loses his friggin’ mind and steals Mr. Street’s prized possession—a stupid wooden sword with round edges that will never, ever cut through anything—“The Whomper.”

Soon, Redmond’s small band of misfit friends joins up with Elodia Cruz—the hottest girl in school—and her uber-popular friends to hold the Whomper for ransom, pull off an elaborate, broad daylight heist to steal something even bigger from Mr. Street, and expose their teacher for the scumbag he really is.

And if that sounds like OCEAN'S 11 by way of THE BREAKFAST CLUB, then you and the author of this book watch the same movies.

Inspired by a true story.

Really.

Raves and Reviews

“Brock’s ability to so very specifically draw a picture of young people that we have all at some point known in our lives is astounding... he has given us so many well-written characters that you struggle with whom to root for first! This is what makes a great book. Red, Alice, and even Mr. Street are the type of literary characters that will have Paper Bag Mask sticking to your bones.”

Tyler Merritt, Best-selling author of This Changes Everything and I Take My Coffee Black

“Heasley’s characters are outstanding. Through them he captures the timelessness of high school hijinks and the grandeur of being young. Redmond, Deep, Alice and the crew feel like more subtle and believable John Hughes characters.”

Nolan North , Actor: Rick and Morty, Pretty Little Liars, Star Trek Into Darkness

“Paper Bag Mask is funny, smart, and impactful. This story, about a group of teens determined to serve justice for wrongs committed, is full of edge-of-your-seat tension and sweet romance. I loved it!”

Kasie West, Best selling author of Sunkissed
