About The Authors

Originally from Caracas, David Calcano has been fusing still and moving pictures with music to craft meaningful stories for over a decade, as the Chief Creative Officer of Fantoons Animation Studios. He’s written for the page and screen, as well as directed animation for the likes of Disney, Publicis, Rush, Motörhead, Nat King Cole, Iron Maiden, Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, The Beach Boys, Johnny Ramone…the list goes on and on!

His creative output includes: award-Winning Animated music videos, advertising spots, album Packages, concert Visuals, and critically-acclaimed books. Beyond his professional delivery, David is a massive music fan with a collection of over 10,000 records…and counting.

 

 

Larissa Rivero is an artist from Mérida, Venezuela, currently working as a 2D artist for comics, animation and books at Fantoons since 2022. Her current personal projects are the comics “Song of Samir” on Webtoon and “Kyarabat” on Instagram.

Eduardo Braun is a Brazilian graphic designer. Since joining Fantoons in 2021, he has collaborated on design in all its forms, creating compositions, layouts, lettering, and concepts. Additionally, he is a co-founder of Estúdio Faixa 2, a design studio specializing in creating packaging and visual identity systems for brands. His work has received recognition in the Brazilian scene, with notable awards such as the Brazil Design Awards and the Bornancini Design Awards. Apart from his design role, Eduardo also engages in collage art, developing original works and conducting workshops on the technique.
