About The Author

Charlotte Warr Andersen is an avid and well-known quilter. A native Utahn, she was born in Salt Lake City and has lived there all her life. She learned many needle skills from her mother, but she considers most of her quilting skills to be self-taught or acquired by good observation. Having recently become an empty nester, she resides with her husband, Eskild, and two dogs, Hugo and Legion. Stitching a portrait is still one of her favorite pastimes. Raves and Reviews

If you loved Charlotte's first book on this subject, you are going to love the 35 new designs. For machine quilters, these geometric designs are built one at a time. Charlotte takes you through all you need to know including basics, starting to stitch, finishing off and more. The quilt patterns in this book include Variations on V's, zigzag, patterns using Inchie Tape, squares and diamonds, squiggles and much more. You can also see how a pattern works on a quilt (the front cover design). There's a superb gallery too. Excellent instructions with clear how-to steps and superb photography.

The number of stitching designs that can be created using Charlotte's One Line at a Time method appears to be limitless. Complex geometric quilting patterns are broken down into their single line elements and shown to be quite easy to accomplish with the use of masking tape, drawn templates or C & T's Inchie Ruler Tape. Use straight lines, curves or free-motion quilting to achieve several impressive effects, including Sashiko-like designs. A gallery of work by guest quilters shows the design possibilities that can be realized using Charlotte's deceptively simple techniques.
