About the Book

Vibrant, ingredient-driven, recipes filled with fresh ideas for the home cook from Executive Chef and Top Chef All-Star, Marcel Vigneron.

Chef Marcel Vigneron may be a household name due to his appearances—and wins—on many of the most popular cooking shows. However, Marcel’s decades of global, culinary-focused travels, his work with world-renowned chefs, and California restaurateur experience are just as impressive.

In this book, his fiery energy is palpable on every page, and each dish in this book carries the essence of the refreshing California sunshine (though the ingredients are accessible throughout the country). You’ll find recipes for crowd-pleasing appetizers, fresh salads, vegetable plates, savory meats and fish, and rich desserts:

•Arrival: Crispy Monterey Calamari; Catalina Farms Mussels; Roasted Beet Hummus

•The Field: The Hollywood Bowl; Cali-Tex Kale Salad; Roasted Street Corn Salad

•Land and Sea: Miso-Honey King Salmon; Rocky's Roasted Chicken Thighs; Coconut-Braised Pork Belly

•Something Sweet: Selena Loves Lemons Frozen Yogurt; The Full Wolf Moon Dessert; Vietnamese Coffee Soufflé

These elevated classics come packed with an abundance of knowledge on essential culinary skills. And at the heart of it all, the belief that food should be fresh, bright, varied, and adaptable shines through. Through both modern and classic cooking techniques, this is a book for enjoying fresh, flavorful recipes and California vibes anytime.
