About the Book

Turn Cyber Risk into a Leadership Advantage

One breach can stop operations, expose customers, and erode trust overnight. When it does, the board answers for it, not the IT team. Yet many executives still lack the language and tools to make confident cyber decisions, and only about one in eight large companies has a director with real cyber credentials.

In CYBERLEAD, Prof. Dr. Alina Matyukhina—CSO and Global Head of Cybersecurity for Siemens’ largest business unit—gives CEOs, board members, and leaders at every level a practical guide to cybersecurity leadership. Drawing on twenty-seven real-world case studies, she shows how leadership choices shape an organization before, during, and after a cyber incident.

Readers will learn how to:
  • Make cyber risk part of business strategy
  • Establish clear board and executive accountability
  • Ask focused questions without becoming a technical specialist
  • Choose metrics that reveal real exposure
  • Build a culture where people speak up
  • Lead through a crisis and govern supply chain risk
  • Turn secure innovation into trust and growth

Her CYBERLEAD™ model, nine leadership pillars, one for each letter, turns complex concerns into clear, board-ready actions. You do not need to become a specialist. You need to steer. CYBERLEAD shows you how.
