This in-world journal invites fans of Buffy to add their own experiences to the Slayer Handbook.
Started for one of the new Potential Slayers and left behind after the Battle at the Hellmouth, this journal includes a section of text copied from the original Slayer Handbook along with illustrations, annotations, and notes from Buffy, Giles, Xander, and Willow. Atmospheric, engrossing, and designed with a dynamic in-universe aesthetic, the blank lined pages of this journal invite readers to add their own story to the legacy of the Slayer.
With sturdy construction and sewn binding, this journal lies flat, and the 192 ruled, acid-free pages of high-quality heavy stock paper take both pen and pencil nicely to invite a flow of inspiration. Includes a ribbon placeholder, elastic closure, and 7.5 x 4.5-inch back pocket, perfect for holding photographs and mementos.
Jeff Mariotte was born in Park Forest, Illinois. Since then he's lived in Arlington and Reston, Virginia, Worms and Schriesheim, Germany, San Jose, San Diego, and Arizona. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. He has been VP of Marketing and Senior Editor for comic book publisher WildStorm Productions, Editor-in-Chief for IDW Publishing, a co-owner of independent specialty bookstore Mysterious Galaxy, and a freelance writer and editor. He’s currently the Editor-in-Chief for Visionary Comics. He’s married to author and writing partner Marsheila (Marcy) Rockwell. They live with their family in Arizona.
Marsheila (Marcy) Rockwell was born an indeterminate number of years ago in America’s Last, Best Place. Perhaps that explains her early penchant for fantasy and horror – the first book she ever read (at the tender age of three) was Frank L. Baum’s Ozma of Oz. Marcy now lives in the desert in the shadow of an improbably green mountain where she writes dark fiction and poetry, often with her writing partner and husband, Jeffrey J. Mariotte.
