About The Book

A bold, funny, and emotionally resonant Purim retelling that helps children discover their own brave voice through Queen Esther’s story.

Told in Esther’s own voice, this lively and empowering Purim picture book reveals that bravery isn’t about being fearless—it’s about finding your voice even when you’re scared. Through playful rhyme and humor, Esther shares how she pushed past doubt to stand up to injustice and save her people. By focusing on Esther’s emotions and choices, this accessible retelling helps children see themselves in a Jewish heroine and encourages them to speak up for what is right. Thoughtful back matter connects the Purim story to modern experiences with bullying and offers practical ways kids can be brave in their own lives. Jaunty first-person verse by best-selling author, Rebecca Gardyn Levington combined with lively and colorful illustrations by Asya Aizenstein will have readers laughing out loud.
