About the Book

Bless & Release is Danielle LaPorte’s answer to a problem almost everyone recognizes: we know what we want to let go of—but we don’t know how.

We've been trained to push away the pain and chase our desires. But that's exactly where the anxiety and exhaustion are coming from.

What we push away pushes back-and gets stronger. What we embrace transforms-and strengthens us.

Bless & Release introduces The Centering Practice-a heart-centered, science-backed approach to letting go that doesn't require force, willpower, or the performance of positivity. Drawing on physics, neuroscience, and the intelligence of the heart, Danielle LaPorte shows why healing is integration, not annihilation. Why the things we push away always come back wanting to belong.

This is one simple, daily practice that shifts how you relate to everything you're carrying: the grief, the grudges, the longing, the fear-and the futures you keep trying to force. Practical, warm, and grounded in both sage wisdom and modern science, Bless & Release is for anyone who is tired of self-help striving and ready for something that actually works.

Why We Love It

The prevailing culture of self-improvement asks people to optimize, overcome, manifest harder, establish more boundaries, eliminate negative thinking, and constantly work on themselves. LaPorte offers an antidote to that exhaustion.

Bless & Release speaks directly to readers who are tired of striving to become “better,” yet still want meaningful change. It replaces self-criticism with self-compassion, control with intentionality, and relentless manifestation with a more spacious question: What if I want what’s actually meant for me?

The book addresses an especially contemporary combination of anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, achievement pressure, spiritual seeking, and uncertainty about the future. LaPorte’s proposition is both soothing and empowering: you do not have to conquer every difficult emotion before you can move forward.
