About The Book
In this uplifting picture book, you imagine a world where everyone looks identical, where all food tastes the same, where we all speak the same language. A world that is...well, pretty boring. But with an explosion of color, the pages soon come to life. This joyful picture book encourages children to imagine the world as a vast library, with room on the shelves for everybody's story. It is a celebration of our incredibly diverse world as it really is: home to 195 countries with thousands of different cultures, 10 million colors, and 4,300 religions.
Written by Uju Asika, author of Bringing up Race, this beautiful picture book celebrates the beauty and joy of living in a wonderfully diverse world.

Raves and Reviews
“[A] beautifully inclusive book … Well-illustrated and thoughtfully considered, this material teaches diversity and perspective, but in a deliberately vague way, which has value.”
– — School Library Journal
“This beautifully written book immediately encourages the reader to embrace their imagination … The text beautifully describes different skin tones and facial features. The reader will learn about foods from other cultures and the abundant languages used worldwide … This book would make an excellent addition to parents’, teachers’, and librarians’ bookshelves. Its pages contain numerous discussion topics that may facilitate further exploration of others' ethnicities and cultures. Children will likely develop an understanding of others’ differences, the importance of accepting them, how to express kindness, and how to celebrate all.”
