Douglas Kennedy is the author of eleven previous novels, including the international bestsellers The Moment and Five Days. His work has been translated into twenty-two languages, and in 2007 he received the French decoration of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. A. Is there such a thing? Happiness, for me, is a moment here-and-there when everything that crowds your life drops away and you are simply aware of the pleasure of the moment.
Or perhaps it's walking Popham Beach near my house in Maine - and the most beautiful beach in New England - with
my two very wonderful children, Max and Amelia, on a winter's day when we had the entire three miles of sand to ourselves, and nothing really mattered except that we were all together on this extraordinary stretch of the Maine Coast.
