She’s also helped many of this country’s most respected chefs—like New York’s Michael Psilakis (How to Roast a Lamb, Little Brown, 2009) and Los Angeles’ Joachim Splichal (Patina: Spuds, Truffles, and Wild Gnocchi, Collins, 1995)—turn their cookbook dreams into reality.
The Cook & The Butcher, her eleventh book for Williams-Sonoma, has won wide praise. Her book collaboration with the “rock-star” butcher Ryan Farr—San Francisco’s “King of Meats,”—Whole Beast Butchery (Chronicle, 2011) was nominated for a 2012 IACP award.
Her husband, actor Casey Biggs, has gained fame as the “Paso Wine Man,” via a viral video spot that was awarded the Wine Spectator Video of the Year, and won several Addys.
Pamela Sheldon Johns is a well-known cooking instructor and the host of culinary workshops throughout Italy. She has authored 14 cookbooks, many specializing in Italian food, such as Parmigiano! and Balsamico! Pamela has spent 20 years exploring and writing about the back roads of Italian food culture. She hosts many of her food and wine workshops from her farm in Tuscany, which was recently featured as one of the top 20 culinary workshops in Italy by Food & Wine magazine. She returns to the U.S. several times a year to teach cooking classes and promote her cookbooks.
Farina Wong Kingsley is a culinary instructor at Tante Marie's Cooking School in San Francisco and a consulting chef for San Francisco's Center for Culinary Development. She is an author of and a contributor to numerous cookbooks, including The Essentials of Asian Cooking, The Aqua Restaurant Cookbook, and Food Made Fast: Asian. She lives in Tiburon, CA.
Rick Rodgers is a renowned cooking instructor and radio and television guest chef who has written dozens of books on virtually every cooking subject, including his best-selling 101 series, and the IACP Cookbook Award nominees Kaffeehaus and The Carefree Cook. Rodgers has also written more than ten titles for a Williams-Sonoma series, as well as Tips Cooks Love by Sur La Table. Rodgers lives in the New York City area.
